Pallet
Flow Racking System—

Pallet Flow Racking Systems are high density pallet storage systems that utilize depth to increase capacity. This system uses a slightly inclined rail with rollers that allow pallets to move easily along the sloped plane.

These systems are also called gravity flow or dynamic flow systems. The pallet flow system often has complex motion and braking systems to control the speed of the moving pallet.

Pallet Flow Racking System consists of two elements: a static rack structure and dynamic flow rails. The flow rails are a track/roller system set at a decline along the length of the rack. Flow rails allow loads to move by gravity from the loading end to the unloading end. Each flow lane includes speed controllers (brakes) to gently control the speed of movement within the flow lanes.

As a load is removed, the loads behind it move forward to the unloading position. The flow system depth, height, and width are limited only by the size of your facility and the capabilities of your material handling equipment. Flow Storage solutions are used in situations where storage density and inventory rotation are priorities.

Pallet Flow Rack is for full case picking and will require minimal aisles. Pallets sit flush in the rack, back-to-back. Up to 20 pallets deep can be stored with the use of speed-braking systems.

Advantages:

— First in first out principle
— High space utilization
— Minimum corridor requirement
— Saves time with high pallet picking speed
