RETA Mühendislik manages the design, production, and installation of industrial racking systems for production facilities, sub-industry warehouses, and logistics centers in Aksaray under a single point of responsibility. Established in 1979, the company manufactures its systems in its own production facility in Manisa Muradiye OSB and serves the Central Anatolia line through its shipping and installation organization.
Industry and Location Defining Storage Needs in Aksaray
Aksaray accommodates two different storage needs at the same time, as it is one of the hubs for heavy commercial vehicle production and is located on the main highway corridor between Ankara and Adana.
Around the Aksaray Organized Industrial Zone, there are truck and heavy commercial vehicle production facilities and the sub-industry plants clustered around them. The parts stored in these facilities span a wide scale: on one hand, large and heavy components such as cabin panels and chassis parts, and on the other, thousands of line items of fasteners and small parts. These two extremes must be resolved in the same warehouse using different bay logics.
In the same region, there are facilities producing agricultural machinery, metal processing, textiles, and food. In these, raw materials and finished products are often managed under the same roof. Bag and big bag storage is common in flour, feed, and legume facilities, causing occupancy fluctuations within the year during harvest periods.
Facilities along the Ortaköy and Eskil line, along with transfer and distribution warehouses fed by the highway corridor, form the third pillar of the province. Stock remains in these warehouses for a short time, and fast entry and exit are prioritized.
Segmentation in Part Inventory with a Wide Scale Range
In the heavy commercial vehicle sub-industry, it is common for a warehouse to house both a component weighing hundreds of kilograms on its own and a fastener the size of a palm at the same time. In a warehouse built with a single-type bay layout, this inevitably results in a loss of either capacity or access.
The layout plan is therefore built on segmentation. Heavy and large components are positioned on the ground floor in deep bays suitable for crane or forklift access. Medium-sized parts are managed in pallet bays, while small and multi-item stock is managed in addressable bin bays. In the section feeding the assembly line, access time takes priority over capacity; this section is positioned on the axis closest to the line exit.
Although Aksaray is located in a region with relatively low spectral acceleration values in seismic regulations, the anchoring and bracing layout is calculated according to the carried load and racking height. Static calculations are performed separately for each project, and proposals are not based on catalog capacity.
Prominent Systems in the Aksaray OSB Line
In heavy component and finished goods warehouses, pallet racking systems are designed according to pallet size, forklift type, and clear height. Euro pallet dimensions of 800x1200 mm and industrial pallet dimensions of 1000x1200 mm require different bay depths and beam spans; for non-standard heavy components, bay depth and load-bearing surfaces are designed specifically for the part.
For fasteners, spare parts, and multi-item inventory, carton flow and bin handling racking systems are used. Bays are arranged in an addressable order, high-turnover references are placed at waist-height level, and shelf heights are adjusted according to box dimensions.
Long materials such as sheet metal, profiles, and pipes are stored using cantilever racking systems. Arm length, spacing between arms, and upright cross-section are calculated based on the weight and deflection behavior of the material.
In facilities where ceiling height cannot be utilized, mezzanine solutions double or triple the available space. Press and injection molds are managed with mold racking systems, while warehouses with high stock turnover rates are managed with automated storage AS/RS applications. All system types are available on the racking systems page.
Aksaray Warehouse Racking Systems Discovery and Quotation Process

Discovery, Manufacturing, and Commissioning Phases
During the discovery phase, ground condition and levelness, column axes, clear ceiling height, sprinkler and lighting layout, the type of forklift or crane used, and pallet and part dimensions are recorded. For inventories with a wide scale range, the dimensions of the heaviest and most voluminous parts are noted separately, as the segmentation decision is derived from these extremes.
After capacity calculations, static calculations, and technical drawings are approved, production takes place at the facility in Muradiye OSB. Since shipping is made from outside the region, production, transport, and installation team planning are combined into a single schedule. Installation is carried out by our own teams, and since the warehouse can be worked on by dividing it into phases, line feeding is not interrupted. Load capacity labels and usage instructions are provided upon delivery.
Frequently Asked Questions About Aksaray Racking Systems
Can bays be designed for very heavy individual components?
Yes, they can be designed. Bay depth, beam cross-section, and load-bearing surface are dimensioned according to the weight and center of gravity of the part. If handled with a crane, access height is also factored into the design. Exact dimensions and weight details must be gathered during the discovery phase.
Can both heavy and small parts be managed in the same warehouse?
Yes, they can. The warehouse is divided into sections: heavy components are positioned in deep bays on the ground floor, medium-sized loads in pallet bays, and small, multi-item stock in addressable bin bays.
How is access accelerated in the section feeding the assembly line?
The feeding section is positioned on the axis closest to the line exit, and high-turnover references are kept on shelves that the operator can reach without bending. Picking frequency is evaluated before narrowing aisle widths in favor of high-density storage.
What kind of layout is set up for fast entry and exit in a transfer warehouse?
The locations of loading and unloading doors are taken as the starting point for the layout plan. Batches that will stay for a short time are placed on axes close to the doors, while stock that will wait for a long time is placed in the rear area, and bays are addressed on a batch basis.
What information is required for a quotation?
Warehouse area and clear ceiling height, the dimension range and unit weights of the parts to be stored, the target number of bays, the type of forklift or crane used, and the existing layout plan (if any) are sufficient. The final proposal is prepared after the discovery phase and static calculations.
