Shuttle (Mekik) Racking System
The shuttle rack system has a structure similar to the drive-in system. However, operationally, it is a system that allows the shuttle device to load and unload each loading level deeply without the stacking device entering the warehouse aisles.

The Shuttle rack system facilitates the loading and unloading of products into the rack channels thanks to the electric carrier. A large number of similar-characteristic pallets can be stacked in blocks with this system.
The rack shuttle machine is essentially designed to be transported by a forklift. It is placed inside the rack (shuttle rail) where loading or unloading is desired with the help of a forklift. After this stage, the operator places the pallet on the relevant rack level with the forklift and gives the necessary command to the radio-controlled shuttle machine via remote control.
At this point, the operator disengages the load. The shuttle machine lifts the pallet, detaches it from the rail, and completely takes it onto itself. Then it places this pallet either at the very end of the rack or at a safe distance immediately behind another previously loaded pallet. When the operation is complete, the system quickly returns to the starting point, waiting for a new command.
When a product is wanted to be taken from the rack level, the shuttle is moved back to the related level with a forklift. With the new command, it completes the cycle by taking the nearest pallet and bringing it to the front of the rack. The shuttle waits until the operator takes the pallet, then reloads it to the front of the rack at an appropriate speed.
This system can work with FIFO (first in first out) and FILO (first in last out) principles. It provides faster operation compared to drive-in systems and it is possible to work with all kinds of stacking vehicles.
